Metro + Bus 

The Metro is safe, reliable and climate-controlled making it the best option to get around during winter weather. Since it rides on rails with various safety systems in place, the Metro continues to run in rain, sleet and up to 6 inches of snow (excluding non-weather-related disruptions).  

Fairfax Connector buses can operate in normal levels of snowfall, but in cases of severe weather the system is limited to only the safest routes. Only in the most extreme cases will service be suspended altogether.
